SedoMLS Premium is a multiple listing service that advertises your domains for sale across more than 650 partner sites and handles payment and transfer when a domain sells. It lets a registrant set a Buy Now price for immediate purchase. This article explains how to enroll a domain, verify ownership, and complete a sale.
About SedoMLS Premium
SedoMLS is a third-party service operated by Sedo. You enroll domains through a Sedo account, Sedo verifies ownership against public WHOIS data, and the domain is listed once you provide its authorization code. When a domain sells, the transfer to the buyer is automatic.
Before you begin
- A Sedo account. You must register directly with Sedo at the Sedo new account page before you can list any domains.
- A supported TLD. Most TLDs are supported. .IT is not supported by SedoMLS Premium.
Step 1: Enroll your domains with Sedo
Add your domains to the Sedo account you created and activate SedoMLS. The system flags any unsupported TLD with a red dot and an explanatory message.
For domains not yet added to Sedo:
- Click Add Domains.
- Follow the steps to add your domains and activate SedoMLS.
For domains already added to Sedo:
- Select the domains by checking the boxes next to them, then click Activate SedoMLS Premium.
- Verify the information shown and click Activate SedoMLS Premium again to confirm.
Step 2: Pass ownership verification
Sedo checks your registration data against the public WHOIS database to confirm ownership. To help verification go smoothly, Sedo suggests the following:
- Temporarily disable any privacy protection service during verification.
- Make sure your Sedo contact details match the contact details in the WHOIS record.
- Set the nameservers to NS1.SEDOPARKING.COM and NS2.SEDOPARKING.COM.
Step 3: Provide the authorization code
Once Sedo verifies ownership, it triggers an automated message to the registrant, sent from the reseller's technical contact email address.
- Open the verification email and follow the link it contains.
- Provide the authorization code for the domain. The domain is listed once the authcode is supplied.
What happens when a domain sells
If a domain sells, the registrant receives payment within one business day. The transfer to the buyer is automatic and requires no action from the registrant.
