FAQ on Reseller Account Password Reset

Your OpenSRS reseller account password expires every six months for improved security. You can change your password from the Account settings tab in the Reseller Control Panel, or trigger a reset email if you are locked out. This FAQ covers the most common questions about recovering access.

How password reset works for reseller accounts

If you still have access to the Reseller Control Panel, change your password from Account settings. See Reset the Password of Your Reseller Control Panel for the procedure. If you are locked out, OpenSRS sends a reset link to the email address on file for your account.

My password has already expired. How do I gain access to the control panel?

Trigger a password reset email using the Forgot password link.

  1. Open the Forgot password page on the Reseller Control Panel sign-in screen.

  2. Enter your reseller account username and click Send. OpenSRS sends a reset email to the address linked to your account and displays a hint about which email address received it.

  3. Open the email and click the reset link. The link is valid for six hours.

  4. Enter a new password and click Change password.

How do I gain access if I don't remember my reseller username?

Contact OpenSRS Support. The Compliance team verifies your profile and helps you regain access to the control panel.

What if I don't remember the email address linked to my account?

When you trigger the reset email through the Forgot password option, OpenSRS displays a hint to help you identify the email address on file. If the hint is not enough to recognize the address, contact OpenSRS Support.

What happens if my password has expired and the linked email address is invalid?

Contact OpenSRS Support. The support team works with Compliance to update a valid email address on your account before issuing a reset link.

My email address is valid, but I haven't received a password reset link. What should I do?

Contact OpenSRS Support. The team can check the email delivery logs and identify any delivery issues.

Tip: Check your spam or junk folder before reaching out. Reset emails sometimes route there.

Which address does the password reset email come from?

The email is sent from noreply@opensrs.email with the subject Password reset request for your reseller account. Allowlist this sender to avoid future delivery problems.
