Once your OpenSRS reseller account is active, you and your clients can access several management interfaces. This article explains what each interface is used for, who uses it, and where to sign in. Use it as a quick orientation to the OpenSRS ecosystem.
Interfaces at a glance
OpenSRS exposes its services through five primary interfaces. Resellers spend most of their time in the Reseller Control Panel; the others cover specific products (email, Storefront) or are used by end users.
Reseller Control Panel (RCP)
The OpenSRS Reseller Control Panel is the modern, primary interface for resellers. From the RCP you can manage domains, email, Trust services, publishing, and all reseller account settings.
- Live: manage.opensrs.com
- Test (Horizon): manage.test.opensrs.com
Classic Reseller Interface (Reseller Web Interface / RWI)
The original web interface still supports basic domain administration and account settings, but most functionality has moved to the Reseller Control Panel. The Classic RWI shows Live system or Test system along the right side of the interface to make the environment unmistakable.
Mail Administration Console (MAC)
The MAC is the classic administration console for OpenSRS Email Service. Most MAC functionality is also available in the Reseller Control Panel. There is a separate MAC for each email cluster, plus a test instance:
- Cluster A: admin.a.hostedemail.com
- Cluster B: admin.b.hostedemail.com
- Test: admin.test.hostedemail.com
Storefront
Storefront is where you configure your OpenSRS Storefront — pricing, themes, and customizations. Customers who buy domains through your Storefront manage their domain settings in an end-user area built into the Storefront itself.
The Storefront URL follows the pattern <your-reseller-username>.shopco.com. For example, if your reseller username is opensrsreseller, the Storefront URL is opensrsreseller.shopco.com.
Manage Web Interface (MWI)
MWI is the end-user domain management console. Resellers who do not provide their own custom interface can direct registrants to MWI to manage DNS, WHOIS information, and other domain settings.
- Live: manage.opensrs.net
- Test: horizon.opensrs.net/manage/
