The Mail Administration Console (MAC) is the web interface for OpenSRS hosted email services, and it is managed through administrator accounts known as ADM accounts. ADM accounts let you manage company information, domains, workgroups, mailboxes, and other account types in your reseller profile. The same settings are also available from the Reseller Control Panel.
About ADM accounts
An ADM (administrator) account performs administrative tasks for email, such as creating, deleting, and modifying email domains, users, brands, and workgroups through the MAC. When you sign up for an OpenSRS reseller account, a default Company-level admin user is created based on your reseller username. For example, if your reseller username is osrsreseller, the system creates the domain osrsreseller.adm and the user admin@osrsreseller.adm.
You can create additional admin users to give others in your company access to manage email services. Each admin user is assigned an administrative level, and the options available to that user in the MAC depend on the level of permissions they hold. For details, see administrator levels.
Note: ADM accounts cannot send or receive email and cannot log in to Webmail. They are not billed like other email users and can only manage email services through the MAC.
Logging in to the MAC
The MAC login URL depends on the cluster your email services are on. Use admin.a.hostedemail.com for Cluster A or admin.b.hostedemail.com for Cluster B.
- In your browser, navigate to your cluster's MAC URL: https://admin.a.hostedemail.com/ or https://admin.b.hostedemail.com/.
- Enter your administrator username and password, then click Login.
Resetting an ADM account password in the Control Panel
You can reset an ADM password from the Reseller Control Panel.
- Log in to the Reseller Control Panel.
- Click the Email tab.
- Search for the ADM domain, which uses the format yourresellerusername.adm.
- Click the username, then choose Change password from the Actions drop-down menu. The same menu also lets you change the admin level, generate a token, and verify the password.
- Enter the new password and click Save.
Resetting an ADM account password in the MAC
You can also reset an ADM password directly in the MAC.
- Log in to the MAC for your cluster: admin.a.hostedemail.com or admin.b.hostedemail.com. See which cluster your email services are on.
- Search for the ADM domain, which uses the format yourresellerusername.adm.
- Click the user and update the Password field under Passwords and security.
- Click Update at the bottom of the page.
